If you have never taken a ride on the Silverton-Durango Railroad in Colorado, you need to go!
Located in south-west Colorado this train ride has topped a National Geographic list of America’s most scenic railroads.
The steam engines were made almost 100 years ago and take you back to what it was like to ride the trains back at the turn of the last century.
This is a 46 mile one way trip and is filled with nonstop scenery to keep you watching the entire time. Bring the camera and make sure it is full charged up and you have plenty of film if you don’t have a digital camera.
Booking this trip is probably best in the fall so you can take in the fall foliage of the Colorado Rockies.
