Rumors have been swirling at the DFW Airport that the renovation of Terminal C is on hold due to cost overruns.
Seems the airport is running way over budget in the renovations of the other terminals. They are all so old that even the plumbing has to be replaced due to the old plumbing not being able to handle today’s needs.
The rumors said that Terminal F will be built and then everyone will be moved from Terminal C to the new Terminal F and Terminal C would be torn down and rebuilt.
Well now it seems at least some part of these rumors is true.
Options American Airlines and the DFW Airport are considering include keeping Terminal C open while they build Terminal F and then tearing down C if the airport does not need the extra gate space.
They might also decide to renovate Terminal C after F is open so American and other airlines would not need to give up gates during construction like they did while Terminals A, B and E underwent renovations.
