October 5, 2026 — IHG’s first voco hotel in Cancún now has a live page on the IHG website, but travelers still cannot book it. The opening date for voco Cancún Zona Hotelera is TBA.
Caribbean Journal reported on October 4 that the hotel page shows rooms, amenities, dining and contact details. It does not yet offer bookable dates or a firm opening date.
IHG signed the hotel in September 2025 as one of six voco hotels in Mexico with partner Alliance Hotels. At the time, IHG listed voco Cancún at 160 rooms and planned all six for 2027.
Where it is and what is planned
The hotel sits at Kilometer 5.5 of Boulevard Kukulcán in the Hotel Zone. It is across from Playa Langosta, between the Caribbean and Nichupté Lagoon.

IHG’s 2025 announcement pitched the hotel at business travelers, with meeting space and quick access to the airport and downtown. Caribbean Journal describes voco as a different product from the big all-inclusive resorts that dominate Cancún.

What it means for airline travelers
- Nothing to book yet. Do not plan a trip around this hotel until IHG opens reservations.
- A non-all-inclusive option in the Hotel Zone. That suits short standby trips, where a one- or two-night room-only stay is easier to move than a resort package.
- IHG One Rewards should apply. voco is an IHG brand. Award pricing for this hotel has not been published.
- Kilometer 5.5 is the north end of the strip. That is the end closest to downtown Cancún and farther from the airport than the southern Hotel Zone.
- Travel-industry rates: none published for this hotel yet. Check again when bookings open.
