October 7, 2026 — Alaska Airlines has quietly begun selling Breeze Airways flights on alaskaair.com and awarding Atmos Rewards points for them, a limited partnership that neither airline has formally announced.
What happened
Alaska added Breeze to its partner page without a press release. Cranky Flier reports the arrangement went live on October 5, and One Mile at a Time and Live and Let’s Fly covered it on October 7.
Alaska’s website now sells select Breeze nonstop flights that touch Charleston, Las Vegas or Raleigh-Durham, in markets Alaska does not fly itself. Examples from Las Vegas include Provo, Myrtle Beach and Fort Lauderdale.
| What the partnership does | What it does not do |
|---|---|
| Alaska sells select Breeze nonstops on Alaska tickets | Breeze does not sell Alaska flights |
| Atmos Rewards points earned when booked through Alaska | No points for Breeze flights bought from Breeze |
| Seats chosen with Breeze after ticketing | No Alaska–Breeze connecting itineraries |
| No award redemptions on Breeze and no reciprocal elite benefits |
Buying through Alaska can cost more. Cranky Flier found one flight at $98.99 on Breeze’s site and $114.40 on Alaska’s.
Neither airline has explained the purpose. Bloggers speculate it could be a first step toward something larger. Upgraded Points reports that the same partner-page revision listed Air Rarotonga and Air Tahiti as “coming soon” and removed ITA Airways and Singapore Airlines; effective dates are TBA.
Alaska Air Group also said on October 7 that it will report third-quarter results after the market closes on Tuesday, October 20, with a call on Wednesday, October 21, at 11:30 a.m. Eastern.
What it means for non-revs
- Nothing changes for pass travel yet. No source reports any non-rev, ZED or interline staff-travel agreement between Alaska and Breeze. Alaska and Hawaiian employees should not expect to list on Breeze.
- Watch the partner list. Commercial partnerships sometimes come before staff-travel agreements, and sometimes end them. If ITA Airways and Singapore Airlines are leaving Alaska’s partner list, check whether your ZED agreements with them are affected before you plan a trip.
- A handy paid backup. Breeze flies many point-to-point routes with no competition. If standby falls through in Charleston, Las Vegas or Raleigh-Durham, a cheap Breeze ticket may get you home, and it is cheaper bought from Breeze directly.
- Horizon Air flight attendants plan to picket on October 14 at Anchorage, Boise, Las Vegas, Everett, Portland and Seattle, according to their union. A picket is not a strike and flights are not affected.
