October 8, 2026 — LATAM Airlines Brasil began taking delivery of its first Embraer E195-E2 on October 8. The 136-seat jet enters scheduled service on November 30 between São Paulo Guarulhos and Vitória.

What happened

LATAM ordered up to 74 of the aircraft in September 2025: 24 firm and 50 options. Twelve are due by the end of 2026 and twelve more in 2027.

The cabin has 136 seats in a 2-2 layout with no middle seats, split between Premium Economy and Economy. Every seat has USB-C power, and Wi-Fi is free for LATAM Pass members.

After Vitória, the type goes onto Guarulhos–Rio de Janeiro Galeão and Guarulhos–Uberlândia once three aircraft are available. The first 14 aircraft will fly 42 routes, eight of them new.

Item Detail
First scheduled flight November 30, 2026, Guarulhos–Vitória
Seats 136, in a 2-2 layout
Firm order 24, plus 50 options
New destinations from Guarulhos Cabo Frio, Macaé, Ji-Paraná, Rondonópolis; start dates TBA

LATAM Brasil serves 63 airports today and aims for more than 70 in 2027.

What it means for non-revs

  • Four new Brazilian cities open up for LATAM staff and ZED travellers, all nonstop from Guarulhos. Start dates are TBA.
  • Check the aircraft type before you list. A 136-seat E195-E2 has fewer seats than the A320-family jets LATAM uses on most domestic routes.
  • There are no middle seats, so the last seats to clear on a full flight will be aisle or window.
  • Expect schedule changes on Guarulhos domestic routes between November 2026 and March 2027 as the jets arrive.
