It is a light Saturday for U.S. route news, with one fresh item from a major carrier: Delta’s 2027 Patriots’ Day and spring break schedule out of Boston includes first-time nonstop service to Destin-Fort Walton Beach. In South Florida, seaplane operator Tropic Ocean Airways is putting scheduled Fort Lauderdale–Key West flights on sale for a Thanksgiving-weekend start. Overseas, Ryanair opened bookings on the first 29 new routes of its summer 2027 program, and Wizz Air, Air Astana, Estelar, Maldivian and Fly Gabon all filed new city pairs. No route discontinuations were announced in the past 24 hours.

Per our standing rule, TBA means the airline has not yet published that detail.

U.S. carriers and routes touching the U.S.

Delta Air Lines: Boston (BOS) → Destin-Fort Walton Beach (VPS)

  • Airline: Delta Air Lines
  • Route: Boston (BOS) → Destin-Fort Walton Beach (VPS)
  • Starts: TBA (extra flying is planned for peak dates April 16–18 and April 22–25, 2027)
  • Frequency: Seasonal; four holiday-period flights
  • Aircraft: TBA

Delta’s Oct. 10 release on its 2027 Patriots’ Day and spring break flying from Boston lists Destin-Fort Walton Beach as new service, the only brand-new destination in the package. The rest is added frequency on existing leisure routes, including Orlando, Fort Myers, Sarasota, Charleston, Savannah, Aruba, Cancun, Punta Cana and San Juan. Delta puts the total at more than 45 extra round trips and about 6,000 seats, and says frequencies are subject to change. Exact operating dates and the aircraft type for the Destin flights have not been published. Source: Delta News Hub.

Tropic Ocean Airways: Fort Lauderdale (FLL) → Key West (EYW)

  • Airline: Tropic Ocean Airways
  • Route: Fort Lauderdale (FLL) → Key West (EYW)
  • Starts: November 27, 2026
  • Frequency: Four times weekly, Thursday through Sunday
  • Aircraft: TBA

The Fort Lauderdale seaplane and charter operator will run scheduled flights of roughly one hour between private aviation terminals at both airports (Sheltair at FLL and Signature at EYW), so passengers skip the commercial terminals. One-way fares start at $199. Limited preview flights are planned for Key West’s Fantasy Fest weekends, Oct. 16–18 and Oct. 23–25. The aircraft type for the route was not specified. Volaris: Puebla (PBC) → Chicago O’Hare (ORD)

  • Airline: Volaris
  • Route: Puebla (PBC) → Chicago O’Hare (ORD)
  • Starts: October 2, 2026 (per AeroRoutes; see note)
  • Frequency: Three times weekly (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday)
  • Aircraft: Airbus A320neo

Aviation Week’s Oct. 9 route roundup carried the Puebla–O’Hare service as a launch item with the operating days but no date. Puebla becomes the sixth O’Hare destination for Volaris and its tenth from Chicago overall. Note on dates: no airline release with a start date was found today; AeroRoutes reported on Sept. 17 that Volaris had moved the start up to Oct. 2 from an earlier December plan, so the route appears to be operating already. The start date and aircraft type here come from that AeroRoutes filing. Sources: Aviation Week Network / Routes; AeroRoutes.
