October 19, 2026 — Costa Cruises is going back to Italy’s Sanremo Music Festival in February 2027. Costa Toscana will anchor in the bay at Sanremo for festival week. The first of two mini-cruises is already full.
The details
- Event: the 77th Sanremo Music Festival, held each February at the Teatro Ariston on the Italian Riviera.
- Ship: Costa Toscana, anchored off Sanremo during festival week.
- Sailings: two “Music Cruise” mini-cruises. The first is sold out. Space remains on the February 17–21, 2027 departure, which covers the festival’s final nights.
- Onboard and ashore: guests can follow the festival from the ship and visit Sanremo and the surrounding area. Costa says more additions will be announced in the coming months.
- Embarkation port and other ports of call: TBA (not given in the source).
Costa Toscana sails in the Western Mediterranean through November 2027 as part of Costa’s year-round Europe schedule.
What it means for airline travelers
- This is a short sailing with fixed dates (February 17–21, 2027). Plan to arrive in Italy at least a day before departure, especially when flying standby, because missing a mini-cruise means missing the whole trip.
- Costa has not named the embarkation port yet. Wait until it is confirmed before booking flights.
- Festival week is busy on the Riviera. Expect hotels and transport near Sanremo to fill early.
- Costa did not mention any travel-industry or interline rates.
