What it means for airline travelers
- The new 4-night Rhine and 5-night Danube cruises fit into a shorter trip, but a short cruise leaves no slack. Fly in a day early, especially on standby.
- Düsseldorf (DUS) is the gateway for the Moselle round trips. Vienna (VIE) serves the Vienna round trips, and Budapest (BUD) is close to the Danube itineraries.
- The Basel–Düsseldorf cruise is one-way. Basel is served by EuroAirport (BSL), so plan to fly in and out of different airports.
- VIVA did not mention any travel-industry or interline rates.
