November 4, 2026 — Celebrity Cruises has put its winter 2028–29 Caribbean season on sale, including the first sailings of its sixth Edge Series ship, Celebrity Xcite.

What was announced

Bookings opened on November 3, 2026, Cruise Industry News and Cruise Hive reported. Celebrity (part of Royal Caribbean Group) will have ten ships in the Caribbean that season. President Laura Hodges Bethge said there will be “more Edge Series ships in the Caribbean than ever before.”

Ship Season highlights
Celebrity Xcite (new, about 3,200 guests) Seven-night Caribbean from Miami from November 2028, rotating St. Thomas, Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Maarten and the Dominican Republic; maiden voyage date not officially confirmed (TBA)
Celebrity Beyond Three-night Fort Lauderdale–Bahamas sailings, November 2028 to March 2029; six Panama Canal sailings
Celebrity Silhouette Sailings from San Juan from October 2028
Rest of the fleet Eclipse, Summit, Reflection, Ascent, Apex, Constellation and Xcel from Fort Lauderdale, Miami, San Juan, Cape Canaveral and Tampa; calls include Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau

Summer 2028 itineraries go on sale December 9, 2026. Celebrity also noted new features coming to Celebrity Beyond this month and a refit for Celebrity Reflection in March 2027.

What it means for airline travelers

  • Lots of Florida choices: Miami (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) serve PortMiami and Port Everglades; Orlando (MCO) serves Cape Canaveral; Tampa (TPA) serves Tampa; San Juan (SJU) serves Puerto Rico sailings.
  • San Juan starts can save a long flight to the Southern Caribbean, but flights to SJU fill up in winter. Fly in the day before, especially if you are on standby.
  • A new ship’s first sailings can move if delivery slips. If you book an early Xcite date, keep your flights changeable until the ship is delivered.
  • No travel-industry or interline rates were mentioned.
