October 3, 2026 — Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has set out its summer 2027 expedition program, with its three Hanseatic ships sailing from the Azores to Greenland, Alaska and the Great Lakes, and an early-booking discount open until October 31, 2026.

The German line’s program spans Europe, the Arctic and North America, Cruise Industry News reports. Managing director Isolde Susset said expedition cruising “means truly discovering a place.” Fares below are per person in euros at double occupancy, as published.

What it means for airline travelers

  • Almost every voyage is one-way, so plan two separate flights. Examples: into Anchorage (ANC) for Seward and home from Vancouver (YVR); into Halifax (YHZ) and home from Milwaukee (MKE).
  • Remote starts need extra care. Kangerlussuaq, Longyearbyen and Ponta Delgada have limited air service. Ask the line whether flights to the ship are included or arranged before relying on standby.
  • Hamburg (HAM) is the start or end of four of the seven voyages.
  • Fly in at least a day early for any expedition departure, two days for the Arctic gateways.
  • Interline and travel-industry rates: none were mentioned.
