October 15, 2026 — On Wednesday, October 14, Delta Air Lines announced a new food, drink and service program for its Delta One business class cabins. The rollout starts November 2 on long-haul flights from Los Angeles.
What’s changing
- Menu: New dishes include a wagyu beef burger, Hong Kong-style sea bass, braised lamb and a seasonal risotto.
- Drinks: Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa, Blanton’s bourbon, more cocktails and mocktails, and Champagne Taittinger poured over sorbet. Premium sake will eventually be added on Tokyo Haneda (HND) flights. Date: TBA.
- Service items: New linens, tableware and glassware. Missoni amenity kits will now include Bombas socks.
- Pre-ordering: Meal pre-order now stays open until 18 hours before departure, instead of closing at least a day before.
Rollout timeline
| When | Where |
|---|---|
| November 2, 2026 | Selected long-haul flights from LAX, including Auckland and Brisbane |
| February (year not stated; likely 2027) | Selected domestic Delta One flights |
| March (year not stated; likely 2027) | Global rollout |
Delta’s chief marketing and product officer, Ranjan Goswami, said the aim is “consistency on board the airplane,” so that the cabin experience matches Delta One Lounges. Delta’s next-generation Delta One suites are expected to debut on its first Airbus A350-1000 next year. They will have longer beds, mattress pads, sliding privacy doors and Delta’s largest seatback screens.
What it means for non-revs
- If you clear into Delta One on LAX–Auckland or LAX–Brisbane from November 2, you will be among the first to see the new service. Note that pre-ordering meals is generally for confirmed passengers, so standby passengers who clear late get whatever is left.
- No change to seat counts. This is a food and service upgrade, not new seats, so the number of premium seats available to clear into stays the same for now. The A350-1000, arriving next year, will add a much larger premium cabin.
- For Delta flight attendants, expect new service procedures and training as the program reaches each route.
