October 16, 2026 — Disney Cruise Line (The Walt Disney Company) is ending the fixed-price dinner menu at its adults-only Italian restaurants. From Thursday, October 22, 2026, Palo, Palo Steakhouse and Palo Trattoria will serve dinner à la carte only, across the fleet.
What changes
- The $55 prix-fixe menu (a choice of two appetizers, two salads, four entrées and two desserts) goes away.
- À la carte prices and the menu itself are not changing, Cruise Hive reports. Sides start at $6; the most expensive item is a 28-ounce dry-aged prime Angus porterhouse at $80.
- Drinks and gratuities remain extra.
- Disney’s email to guests says the restaurants will offer “a selection of our Guest’s favorite items.” No reason for the change was given.
Castaway Club members
Platinum and Pearl members, who previously received a complimentary prix-fixe dinner, will instead get a $55-per-person credit toward à la carte items. Guests in the same stateroom also receive it, but the Platinum or Pearl member must attend the meal, and anything above $55 is charged. The benefit is for dinner only, not brunch. Eligible members with upcoming cruises were emailed about a week in advance.
What it means for airline travelers
- Budget for a variable bill. A Palo dinner no longer has a set price; what you pay depends on what you order, plus drinks and tip.
- Platinum and Pearl members: the credit covers $55 per person and only works when the member is at the table.
- This change does not affect embarkation ports or sailing dates, and no change to interline or travel-industry cruise rates was mentioned.
