What it means for airline travelers
- Airport: Louis Armstrong New Orleans International (MSY). The announcement does not give a transfer time.
- St. Charles Avenue is on the streetcar line, so getting to the French Quarter and Downtown is easy without a car.
- Mardi Gras planners: the hotel overlooks the parade route, so expect high demand for rooms around Carnival. If you are flying standby that weekend, book the room early and allow extra days for flights.
- No chain brand affiliation was announced, and the announcement does not mention travel-industry or airline-employee rates.
