October 26, 2026 — Fiji says a growing list of cruise lines will call in 2027, from Norwegian Cruise Line’s big-ship South Pacific voyages to small expedition and luxury ships visiting outer islands.

Who’s coming in 2027

Line What’s planned When
Norwegian Cruise Line South Pacific voyages from Suva or Lautoka, ending in Australia or French Polynesia May, October, December 2027
National Geographic-Lindblad 16-day South Pacific voyage, Tahiti to Fiji April–May 2027
Heritage Expeditions 11-day voyage on Heritage Adventurer March 2027
Regent Seven Seas, Silversea, Crystal Fiji calls on 2027 itineraries TBA
Windstar, Ponant / Paul Gauguin Itineraries linking Fiji with the wider South Pacific TBA
Blue Lagoon Cruises (Fiji) New Yasawa Princess II: 45 m, 22 cabins, 44 guests, shallow draft TBA

Places named on itineraries include Suva, Lautoka, Savusavu, Fulaga, Taveuni and the Mamanuca and Yasawa island groups, with links east to Aitutaki, Bora Bora, Moorea and Tahiti. Tourism Fiji says August 2026 was its busiest month ever for international arrivals.

What it means for airline travelers

  • Fly into Nadi for Lautoka and the western islands; Suva voyages need a domestic connection or a long drive across Viti Levu.
  • Many of these are one-way voyages (Fiji to Australia or French Polynesia, Tahiti to Fiji). Plan your outbound and return flights from different cities, and price both before you book the cruise.
  • South Pacific flights are infrequent. If you are flying standby, go two days early — a missed connection can mean a missed ship — and have a backup routing via Australia or New Zealand.
  • Sailing dates were not published for most lines; check exact dates with each line before booking flights.
