October 27, 2026 — Canadian low-cost carrier Flair Airlines (F8) has gone into the cargo business, selling the spare hold space on its passenger flights.
What happened
- Announced: Monday, October 26, in a social media statement from the Kelowna-based airline.
- What: belly-hold cargo on passenger flights across Flair’s network, for shipments within Canada and to international destinations.
- Partner: Exp-Air Cargo handles sales and day-to-day logistics.
- Fleet: ch-aviation data shows Flair flying eighteen Boeing 737-8s and two 737-800s.
- Pricing and volumes: TBA.
Flair executive Jimmy Dulku said Canada depends on strong links to move goods between communities and markets, and framed the service as a way to use capacity the airline already flies.
What it means for non-revs
No direct effect on seats: cargo rides in the hold on flights that are already operating. It still matters to airline people: selling hold space the airline already flies adds a new revenue stream for Flair.
