October 29, 2026 — Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, parent of Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, beat its own third-quarter forecast and raised its full-year outlook. It also named a former American Airlines finance executive as its next CFO, and said the delivery of Regent’s Seven Seas Prestige has slipped to late December.

Ships and sailings
- Regent Seven Seas Cruises: Delivery of Seven Seas Prestige is now delayed to late December 2026 (exact date TBA). Select Seven Seas Voyager voyages that were to transit the Suez Canal have been cancelled; the specific sailings were not listed in the release (TBA).
- Oceania Cruises: The sale of Oceania Sirena is complete, and the ship will keep sailing for Oceania under a charter through spring 2028. Oceania Sonata has floated out and is expected to debut in August 2027.
- Norwegian Cruise Line: The Great Tides Waterpark opened September 4 at Great Stirrup Cay, the line’s private island in the Bahamas.
New CFO comes from American Airlines
Meghan Montana, NCLH’s chief strategy officer, will become chief financial officer on January 1, 2027. She replaces Mark A. Kempa, who is stepping down after more than 25 years with the company and will stay on as an adviser through June 2027.
Montana joined NCLH in January 2026. Before that she was senior vice president of finance and corporate development at American Airlines, and earlier its treasurer. CEO John W. Chidsey credited Kempa with steering the company through its IPO, the Oceania and Regent acquisitions and the COVID-19 shutdown. No successor for Montana’s strategy role has been named (TBA).
What it means for airline travelers
- Booked on Seven Seas Voyager through Suez? Contact Regent or your travel adviser now to confirm whether your voyage is one of those cancelled, and hold off on non-refundable flights until you know. If you already hold airline tickets, ask about your rebooking and refund options before changing anything.
- Booked on Seven Seas Prestige’s first sailings? With delivery pushed to late December, keep in close touch with Regent about your departure. If you are flying standby to the embarkation port, avoid locking in hotels or connecting flights you cannot change.
- Full ships. Occupancy above 106% means NCLH’s ships are sailing very full. Expect busy embarkation days and plan to fly in the day before, especially if you are on standby.
- A familiar face from the airline world. NCLH’s incoming CFO came from American Airlines. The release did not say anything about changes to travel-industry or interline rates.
