What it means for airline travelers
- Galápagos, Peru, Upper Amazon and Egypt trips reach remote areas that usually need a connecting flight. Build in an extra day on the way out.
- Galápagos and Amazon trips often have fixed group flights or transfers set by the operator. Ask early whether you can arrange your own air if you plan to fly non-rev.
- With departures as far out as 2029, there is time to plan around peak travel periods such as the holidays.
- No travel-industry or interline rates were mentioned.
