November 4, 2026 — Frontier has named a new chief operating officer, promoted two long-time executives and confirmed that its heads of operations and customers will leave this month.
Airline: Frontier Airlines (F9) · United States
What happened
Frontier announced the leadership changes on November 2, and AirlineGeeks reported them on November 3. Michael Delehant joins on November 30, 2026 as executive vice president and chief operating officer. He will run all airline operations and report to CEO Jimmy Dempsey. Delehant was most recently group managing director at Wizz Air, after serving as chief strategy and network officer at Vueling and holding earlier roles at Southwest.
| Executive | Change | Effective |
|---|---|---|
| Michael Delehant | Joins as EVP and Chief Operating Officer | Nov 30, 2026 |
| Trevor Stedke | SVP Operations, leaving the company | Nov 13, 2026 |
| Alex Clerc | SVP Customers, leaving the company | Nov 13, 2026 |
| James Fenner | Promoted to SVP and Chief Revenue Officer (pricing, revenue management, loyalty, network planning) | TBA |
| Bobby Schroeter | Moves to SVP and Chief Marketing Officer (brand, customer experience) | TBA |
Frontier gave no reason for the two departures. The shake-up follows a third-quarter net loss of $104 million, compared with $77 million a year earlier. Excluding special items, Frontier earned $40 million on record revenue of $1.36 billion.
What it means for non-revs
Nothing changes for passes or pass partners right away. The changes are still worth following: one executive now owns network planning, pricing and loyalty, so future decisions about where Frontier adds or cuts flights, and how full those flights run, sit with him. The new COO’s operating style from November 30 will also shape reliability, which affects how often a disrupted schedule opens up or wipes out standby seats.
