Route Roundup Nov. 4, 2026: Delta Adds Austin–Northwest Arkansas, United Exits Tulum

Delta is adding a daily Austin–Northwest Arkansas link next spring, giving Bentonville-area business travelers a nonstop to Texas’ capital, while United is pulling out of Tulum from both Newark and Houston in early January. Air Canada adds a Monterrey–Montréal route, WestJet confirms a summer return to Sault Ste. Marie, and a handful of new European and Middle East routes round out the last 24 hours. On the cut side, Austrian is ending Vienna–Zagreb and Southwest is reported to be ending two inter-island Hawaii routes early.

New Routes

Delta Air Lines (operated by SkyWest): Austin (AUS) – Northwest Arkansas (XNA)

• Starts: March 7, 2027 from Austin; March 8, 2027 from Northwest Arkansas
• Frequency: Daily
• Aircraft: Embraer 175 (Delta Connection)

The evening Austin departure leaves at 8:59 p.m. and the return leaves XNA at 6:00 a.m., a schedule built around a day trip into Austin. Airport Improvement reported that tickets went on sale with the announcement.

Air Canada: Monterrey (MTY) – Montréal (YUL)

• Starts: May 1, 2027
• Frequency: 3 times weekly
• Aircraft: TBA

Air Canada is also extending its seasonal Monterrey (MTY) – Vancouver (YVR) flights: service is set to start December 3, 2026 (frequency TBA, aircraft TBA) and continue through summer 2027 at twice weekly from May 1, 2027.

WestJet: Calgary (YYC) – Sault Ste. Marie (YAM) (seasonal return)

• Starts: June 11, 2027 (seasonal, through September 10, 2027)
• Frequency: 2 times weekly
• Aircraft: Boeing 737

The route first flew in summer 2026 and comes back for a second season.

SunExpress: Antalya (AYT) and Izmir (ADB) – Damascus (DAM)

• Starts: November 12, 2026 (Antalya); November 13, 2026 (Izmir)
• Frequency: 3 times weekly each
• Aircraft: Boeing 737-800

Both routes had originally been planned for March 2026 and were pushed back to this month.

Syrian Airlines: Damascus (DAM) – Munich (MUC) (resumption)

• Starts: November 12, 2026
• Frequency: 2 times weekly
• Aircraft: Airbus A320

Air Montenegro: Podgorica (TGD) – Zagreb (ZAG), Brussels (BRU) and Bari (BRI)

• Starts: Zagreb November 26, 2026; Brussels November 30, 2026; Bari December 17, 2026
• Frequency: 3 times weekly each
• Aircraft: Embraer E195-E2

DAT: Hannover (HAJ) – Arvidsjaur (AJR)

• Starts: November 30, 2026 (northern winter season)
• Frequency: 1 time weekly
• Aircraft: ATR 42

A winter link from northern Germany into Swedish Lapland, with block times of about three hours each way.

S7 Airlines: Vladivostok (VVO) – Phuket (HKT)

• Starts: December 25, 2026
• Frequency: 2 times weekly
• Aircraft: Boeing 737-800

The flights are listed as nonstop, but AeroRoutes notes block times of more than 10 hours from Vladivostok, long for a 737-800.

Neos: Milan Malpensa (MXP) – Larnaca (LCA)

• Starts: June 4, 2027 (seasonal, through September 17, 2027)
• Frequency: 1 time weekly
• Aircraft: Boeing 737

United is leaving Tulum entirely, with Newark currently flown daily. Aviation Club Center reported the Houston route ends with its final flight on January 4, 2027.

Southwest Airlines: Maui (OGG) – Kona (KOA) and Maui (OGG) – Lihue (LIH)

• Last day: January 5, 2027 for both routes (reported; previously expected March 10, 2027)

This is a report, not an airline announcement: Hawaii’s Best Travel noted that “Southwest hasn’t confirmed the earlier cutoff directly.” We will update if Southwest confirms or changes the date.

Austrian Airlines: Vienna (VIE) – Zagreb (ZAG)

• Last day: January 10, 2027

The route is currently flown daily with Embraer E195s, including aircraft from Air Dolomiti.
