October 3, 2026 — Fairmont New Orleans is now taking reservations for stays from November 2, 2026, the day the 250-room hotel opens in the city’s Central Business District.
The hotel fills 17 floors of the former Bank of New Orleans building at 1010 Common Street, a 31-story tower designed in 1970 by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Developer Kailas Companies owns the project and Accor’s Fairmont brand will run it. Rockwell Group designed the interiors. The French Quarter and Caesars Superdome are both within walking distance.
Rooms include a Fairmont Gold floor, the brand’s hotel-within-a-hotel tier. Chef Emeril Lagasse is behind the food and drink, including Delmonico Steakhouse and The Café by Emeril. The roof holds a pool that the hotel calls the highest in the city, plus the Third Measure bar and Bleu Perdu poolside lounge. There is also a 10,000-square-foot spa and more than 19,000 square feet of meeting space, including two 4,000-square-foot ballrooms.
Kailas Companies CEO C. Mohan Kailas said “our passion lies in the careful preservation of historic landmark buildings.”
