2017-03-29 CARNIVAL VISTA - IMO 9692569, in Willemstad, Curaçao

October 3, 2026 — Carnival Cruise Line is adding a breakfast bagel counter across its North American fleet and testing a fried chicken and waffles lunch venue on four Conquest-class ships, according to details shared by brand ambassador John Heald.

Update — what is new since yesterday’s Carnival story: these two food venues. The Carnival Panorama hurricane changes, full muster drills and 2028–29 West Coast schedule were covered on October 2 and have no new developments.

Bagels @ Sea

The bagel counter runs during breakfast hours and uses an existing station such as the Pizzeria or Seafood Shack. The menu has plain bagels with a range of cream cheese spreads, plus sandwiches including a lox bagel, a breakfast sandwich with omelet, sausage, bacon and cheddar, and a pesto chicken and egg white option. Heald confirmed the bagels are on ships “across the North American fleet,” Cruise Fever reports. Pricing was not stated: TBA.

Chicken, Waffles & Waves

This is a limited test at lunch on Carnival Freedom, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Glory and Carnival Valor. It is on Deck 10 aft, above the Lido Marketplace buffet, in the space used by the barbecue station. The menu covers classic and spicy fried chicken, chicken burgers, tenders with several sauces, hot honey chicken, and waffles topped with pork or brisket, with sides such as mac and cheese and coleslaw. Pricing, start dates and the length of the test are TBA.

What it means for airline travelers

  • No effect on flights, fares or sailings. This is an onboard dining change only.
  • Interline and travel-industry rates: not affected.
  • If the barbecue station was a favorite on Freedom, Liberty, Glory or Valor, expect it to be replaced at lunch during the test.
  • Check whether either venue carries a charge once you board, because Carnival has not published prices.
