Minor Hotels Signs Ampersand Beach House for Dubai Islands, Opening Late 2029

October 5, 2026 — Minor Hotels has signed a new beachfront boutique hotel in Dubai. Ampersand Beach House, with 111 rooms and suites, is due to open on Dubai Islands in late 2029.

The hotel will join Minor’s Colbert Collection, part of its luxury portfolio. Minor says it will be the first Colbert Collection hotel built for the brand from scratch, and the collection’s first on Dubai Islands.

The Ampersand name comes from London, where The Ampersand Hotel has operated for more than 10 years. This is the brand’s first move into the UAE. An adviser to the project, Anton Fedun, described the idea as “barefoot luxury.”

NOUMA is the developer and project manager. MIMAR is handling architecture and engineering, and Sundukovy Sisters Design Studio is designing the interiors.

A second Dubai hotel will reach the collection sooner. Dukes The Palm Dubai Hotel is due to join the Colbert Collection later in 2026 after a renovation.
