American Returns to JFK–Seattle, United Heads Back to Flagstaff and Porter Adds Five Routes From London, Ontario

American Airlines is returning to the New York (JFK)–Seattle market next spring and moving its summer Bozeman flight from LaGuardia to JFK, while United is heading back to Flagstaff from Denver days after Delta revealed its own Flagstaff plans. North of the border, Porter is adding five domestic routes from London, Ontario. In all, the past 24 hours of reporting turned up 24 new or resumed routes and two discontinuations.

Any detail an airline has not yet published is marked TBA (to be announced).

United States

  • American Airlines — New York (JFK) → Seattle (SEA). Starts April 6, 2027; twice daily; Airbus A321neo. American last flew this transcon about eight years ago. The aircraft is the standard domestic A321neo with first class and main cabin, not the lie-flat transcon layout.
  • American Airlines — New York (JFK) → Bozeman (BZN). Starts June 18, 2027; 4 times weekly; Boeing 737-8. This replaces the summer LaGuardia–Bozeman flight (see below). End date of the season: TBA.
  • United Airlines — Denver (DEN) → Flagstaff (FLG). Starts August 10, 2027; twice daily; Bombardier CRJ-550 (United Express; operating carrier TBA). United last served Flagstaff in 2022. The airline disclosed the route over the weekend and it was first widely reported on October 6, days after Delta announced Salt Lake City–Flagstaff for June 7, 2027.
  • Sunrise Airways — Cap-Haïtien (CAP) → New York (JFK). Starts November 16, 2026; 2 times weekly; Airbus A320 family (filed as “32S”). Source conflict: AeroRoutes shows the first Cap-Haïtien departure on November 16, while CAPA lists a November 17 start, which matches the first JFK departure the next morning. No airline release was available to settle it.
  • ZIPAIR Tokyo — Tokyo Narita (NRT) → Las Vegas (LAS), charter.
    Departs Tokyo January 5, 2027 and returns January 9; one round trip; Boeing 787-8.
  • ZIPAIR Tokyo — Tokyo Narita (NRT) → Orlando (MCO), charter.
    Four round trips on February 24, March 1, March 6 and March 11, 2027; Boeing 787-8. These are mainly tour-operator charters, with individual seats expected on sale by late November.

Canada

  • Porter Airlines — London, Ont. (YXU) → Halifax (YHZ). Starts April 12, 2027; daily; Embraer E195-E2.
  • Porter Airlines — London, Ont. (YXU) → Vancouver (YVR). Starts April 12, 2027; up to 11 times weekly; Embraer E195-E2.
  • Porter Airlines — London, Ont. (YXU) → Ottawa (YOW). Starts April 12, 2027; up to 20 times weekly; De Havilland Dash 8-400.

  • SkyUp Airlines — Chisinau (RMO) → Dubai (DXB). Starts December 20, 2026; up to 3 times weekly, seasonal through March 28, 2027; aircraft TBA.

Also noted (schedule changes, not new routes): Singapore Airlines has pushed its Singapore (SIN)–Riyadh (RUH) launch from December 1, 2026 to March 28, 2027, at 3 weekly Airbus A350-900 flights. Air Canada will cut Toronto (YYZ)–Manchester (MAN) from daily to 3 weekly on May 1, 2027 (4 weekly from July 5), switching to the Boeing 787-9. SWISS will fly Zurich (ZRH)–Tokyo Narita (NRT) 6 times weekly instead of 5 from June 1 to September 30, 2027, on the Boeing 777-300ER.

    The summer seasonal flight will not come back in May 2027 as planned; exact effective date TBA. The Bozeman flight moves to JFK from June 18, 2027.
  • Sunrise Airways — Newark (EWR) → Cap-Haïtien (CAP). The weekly flight is now scheduled only until October 20, 2026. The carrier’s New York service shifts to JFK in November.

Not listed above: American’s five other cuts (Phoenix–Provo, Miami– Tulum, Miami–Montréal, Chicago O’Hare–Lincoln and Dallas/Fort Worth–Albany) were announced on October 5, outside today’s 24-hour window.
