October 7, 2026 — Marella Cruises has announced its summer 2028 programme, with five ships based at five Mediterranean ports, six new itineraries and a first call at Patras, Greece. It goes on sale October 15, 2026, Cruise Critic reports.

The British line, part of TUI Group, is pairing the programme with a cruise-and-stay option that covers 119 hotels in Mallorca, Corfu, Dubrovnik and Malaga, with departures from 22 UK and Irish airports.

What it means for airline travelers

  • Homeport airports: Corfu (CFU), Malaga (AGP), Palma (PMI) and Dubrovnik (DBV). All are busy summer leisure airports, so standby seats are scarce at weekends.
  • Cruise-only is the question to ask. The programme is built around flights from the UK and Ireland. If you plan to fly non-rev, confirm a cruise-only fare before booking.
  • Four of the six new routes are one-way. Barbados (BGI) to Spain and the Canaries to Corfu need two separate flight listings.
  • Interline rates: not mentioned in the report.
