October 8, 2026 — ORA Hospitality will open a 93-key resort on Mykonos in May 2027 as the first hotel of a new ultra-luxury brand. Reservations open in January 2027. Neither the brand nor the resort has a name yet.

ORA Hospitality is the hotel arm of ORA Developers, founded by Egyptian businessman Naguib Sawiris. It announced the €100 million project in London this week. Its existing hotels are Silversands Grenada and Silversands Beach House.

The resort sits on a hillside above Kalo Livadi Bay, on a largely undeveloped stretch of coast. It is laid out like a village, with 60 rooms, 28 suites and five villas. All have sea views and private outdoor space.

Rockwell Group is the designer. Plans include four restaurants and bars, event space for 200 guests and a 900-square-meter wellness center. Sawiris is overseeing the concept himself and promised it will be more than “just another ultra-luxury hotel.”

What it means for airline travelers

  • Nothing can be booked until January. Rates are TBA, and with 93 keys the first summer will be tight.
  • Mykonos (JMK) is the island’s airport. Standby travelers should have a ferry or Athens backup in mind for summer dates.
  • Do not expect an airline-employee rate. This is an independent ultra-luxury brand with no published travel-industry program.
  • A May opening leaves little slack. If construction slips, it slips into peak season. Wait for a firm date before fixing travel.
