October 8, 2026 — Marriott International has signed a deal with Thai owner FICO Corporation for seven new hotels and 1,262 rooms in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket. Three Marriott brands will enter Thailand for the first time. Opening dates are TBA.
The agreement, announced October 7, brings citizenM, Four Points Flex by Sheraton and Series by Marriott to the country. It also adds a JW Marriott in Bangkok’s Sathorn district. Marriott gave projected room counts but no opening years. It did not say which hotels are conversions.
The seven hotels
| Hotel | City | Rooms | Opening |

| citizenM Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 | Bangkok | 147 | TBA |
| Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bangkok Sukhumvit 8 | Bangkok | 162 | TBA |
| Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bangkok Sukhumvit 14 | Bangkok | 130 | TBA |
| Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bangkok Surawong | Bangkok | 201 | TBA |
| Easy Planet North Pattaya, Series by Marriott | Pattaya | 192 | TBA |

The three Four Points Flex hotels are close to Bangkok’s BTS Skytrain, Marriott says. The Surawong hotel is described as a heritage property. Four Points Flex is a midscale brand built around reliability and value. Series by Marriott promises simple rooms with free Wi-Fi and breakfast.
FICO already owns four Marriott hotels in Bangkok, including Hotel Muse Bangkok and Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok Ploenchit Sukhumvit. The new deal takes the partnership to 11 hotels across eight brands. Marriott’s Rajeev Menon said the company was “delighted to further strengthen” the relationship.
What it means for airline travelers
- More Bonvoy choices at lower price points. Five of the seven hotels are in the Four Points Flex and Series by Marriott brands, across Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket.
- Nothing is bookable yet. No opening dates were given. Do not plan a trip around any of these hotels until Marriott lists them.
- Skytrain access matters in Bangkok. Hotels near the BTS save time in the city’s traffic. Confirm the walking distance once addresses are published.
- Phuket and Pattaya get branded budget options. The two Easy Planet hotels will give Bonvoy members a points-earning alternative to independents in Patong and North Pattaya.
- Travel-industry rates are TBA. Marriott did not address them in this announcement.
