October 13, 2026 — Carnival Cruise Line, part of Carnival Corporation, is extending its new main dining room dinner menus to more ships this month, while Carnival Miracle has opened the 2026–27 Panama Canal cruise season on its way to a winter of sailings from Galveston, Texas.

New dining room menus

Carnival is rolling out new main dining room dinner menus across its 29-ship fleet. According to Cruise Fever, 17 ships already serve them: Carnival Magic, Mardi Gras, Carnival Panorama, Carnival Sunshine, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Pride, Carnival Spirit, Carnival Vista, Carnival Miracle, Carnival Celebration, Carnival Venezia, Carnival Dream, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Glory, Carnival Sunrise and Carnival Breeze.

Carnival Miracle opens the Panama Canal season

Carnival Miracle ended its Alaska summer and set off on a 16-night repositioning cruise on September 26, 2026. The voyage includes a full Panama Canal transit and calls in Central America and the Caribbean, ending in Galveston, where the ship will spend the winter sailing from Texas. The Panama Canal Authority says the ship’s eastbound transit earlier this month was the first of 220 ships scheduled to transit the canal between October 2026 and May 2027. Carnival Spirit is among the ships due to make similar transits in the coming weeks.

What it means for airline travelers

  • The menu change applies automatically; there is nothing to book. If you are sailing on Carnival Elation or Carnival Valor from October 17 or Carnival Horizon from October 18, you should see the new menus.
  • Carnival Miracle joins Carnival’s Galveston lineup this winter. Most cruisers reach Galveston by flying into Houston Hobby (HOU) or Houston Bush Intercontinental (IAH) and transferring by road, so allow for the drive. Fly in the day before sailing, especially if you are on standby.
  • No change to fares, gratuities or travel-industry and interline rates was mentioned.
