October 14, 2026 — The Lofton Hotel, a Tapestry Collection by Hilton property in downtown Minneapolis, has finished a renovation that touched every guest room and added a new Italian café, pizzeria and bar in the lobby.
What is happening
Marcus Hotels & Resorts, which manages the hotel, said on October 14 that the renovation is complete. It did not give start or finish dates. The hotel also has a new general manager: Aaron Slattery, who previously ran the Hilton Minneapolis/Bloomington, takes over from Jim Waldvogel, who retired after more than 29 years with Marcus.
