October 22, 2026 — New construction photos show Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah moving into exterior and interior fit-out. The resort is still scheduled to open in September 2027. The estimated cost has risen to about $5.7 billion.

What is happening

Gulf Business reports that the resort’s 70-storey tower topped out its structural concrete in December 2025. Crews are now working on the façade, the interiors and the surrounding resort facilities. Wynn Resorts confirmed in August that the first guests are due in September 2027. The cost estimate has gone up by about $600 million. The report links the increase partly to regional disruption, higher construction costs and supply-chain problems.

Detail What’s been reported
Property Wynn Al Marjan Island
Company Wynn Resorts
Location Al Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates
Opening September 2027 (exact date TBA)
Rooms 1,530 rooms and suites
Height 70 storeys; about 352 metres with the spire, the tallest structure in Ras Al Khaimah
Features 22 restaurants, bars and lounges; theatre; luxury shopping; pools and spa; 550-metre beachfront with sheltered swimming and an engineered reef; 98-berth marina
Gaming The UAE’s first licensed commercial gaming facility
Estimated cost About $5.7 billion (up about $600 million)

What it means for airline travelers

  • Getting there: The closest airport is Ras Al Khaimah International (RKT). Dubai International (DXB) is a longer drive but has far more long-haul service. The article doesn’t cover transport, so plan the road transfer yourself.
  • No bookings yet: The report doesn’t mention a reservation date. For now, September 2027 is the target to watch, not a date to build a trip around.
  • Something new for the region: The resort will have the UAE’s first licensed casino, so expect strong demand and high prices in the first months after opening.
