United Airlines is adding a new link between the Lowcountry and the Bay Area: seasonal nonstop service between Charleston (CHS) and San Francisco (SFO) begins March 28, 2027, giving Charleston a direct line into United’s West Coast and transpacific hub. Overseas, Jazeera Airways is bringing back flights between Kuwait City and Yerevan, Armenia, this winter. No route discontinuations were announced in the past 24 hours.

New Routes

Jazeera Airways Kuwait City (KWI) – Yerevan (EVN) (resumption) December 3, 2026 2x weekly; 3x weekly Dec 22, 2026 – Jan 16, 2027 Airbus A320ceo / A320neo

United Airlines: Charleston (CHS) – San Francisco (SFO)

  • Starts: March 28, 2027
  • Frequency: 4x weekly (Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays), seasonal; season end date TBA
  • Aircraft: Boeing 737-800 / 737 MAX 8

Charleston International Airport announced the flight on October 22. The route gives Charleston travelers connections through United’s SFO hub to the West Coast, Asia and the Pacific. United already flies to Charleston from its Chicago, Newark, Washington Dulles, Denver and Houston hubs. Note: The airport and United have not published an end date for the season. The Post and Courier reports that the flights will run from March through November, but that has not been confirmed in an airline or airport release, so the end date is listed as TBA.

Jazeera Airways: Kuwait City (KWI) – Yerevan (EVN)

  • Starts: December 3, 2026 (resumption of a previously served route)

The Kuwaiti low-cost carrier is bringing Armenia’s capital back into its winter 2026/27 schedule, with an extra weekly flight over the holiday period. These details come from AeroRoutes’ report of the airline’s schedule filing. We could not find a Jazeera press release about the route.

Routes Being Discontinued

No airline announced a route discontinuation or suspension in the past 24 hours. Several airlines did announce temporary frequency cuts. Air China is reducing some Europe flights this winter, and AirBorneo is cutting Kuching–Singapore from 7 to 4 weekly flights between October 25 and December 31, 2026. Both routes stay in service, so they are not listed as discontinued.
