October 23, 2026 — Le Graal Cortina, a 30-room luxury hotel in a restored 1920s palazzo in Cortina d’Ampezzo, is taking bookings with a limited-time 20% opening discount ahead of its debut this winter. The hotel is due to open in December 2026; an exact opening day has not been published (TBA).

What is happening

The hotel, in the Italian Dolomites town that co-hosted the 2026 Winter Olympics, has joined The Leading Hotels of the World, which named it among six new members on October 21. On October 22, the hotel’s opening offer was reported: 20% off eligible rooms and suites with breakfast included, booked through the hotel’s own website. No booking deadline, minimum stay or eligible travel dates have been published.

Detail Information
Property Le Graal Cortina
Affiliation The Leading Hotels of the World (independent luxury collection); owner not named in reports
Location Via Marconi 2, central Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy
Opening December 2026, winter 2026 season (exact date TBA)
Rooms 30, including 13 suites
Design Restored 1920s palazzo redesigned by architect Achille Salvagni
Dining Le Monsù (signature restaurant, chef Giovanni Guarneri), Le Café (all-day) and Le Graal Bar
Spa Indoor pool, sauna, hammam, plunge pool, cryotherapy, treatment rooms and a private Spa Suite with fireplace
Opening offer 20% off eligible stays with breakfast, via the hotel website; terms and end date not published

Euronews describes the hotel as having direct access to the area’s ski terrain and the historic town centre, and notes that the interiors deliberately move away from the usual Alpine-chalet look. Chef Guarneri is known for Ristorante Don Camillo in Ortigia, Sicily, and Le Café serves Sicilian-inspired dishes.

What it means for airline travelers

  • Nearest airports: Treviso, about 138 km away, and Venice Marco Polo, about 148 km away. Both are roughly two and a quarter hours from Cortina by road. Cortina’s own small airport is closed.
  • Rail option: the nearest train station is Calalzo-Pieve di Cadore-Cortina, about 35 km south, with a connecting Cortina Link bus service.
  • Allow for winter roads: a two-hour-plus mountain transfer in ski season makes a same-day connection risky, so consider arriving in Venice a night early.
  • Opening discount: the 20% offer is booked directly on the hotel’s website. Because no end date has been given, check the terms before you book. No travel-industry or airline-employee rates are mentioned.
