South Korea’s low-cost carriers made most of the route news over the past 24 hours. Jeju Air announced two new international routes: Busan to Vientiane for the winter season, and Seoul Incheon to Sendai from January. Jin Air plans to add Incheon to Ho Chi Minh City at Christmas, and Air Busan scheduled a short run of Busan to Penang charters in mid-November. We found no new route announcements from US carriers and no permanent route cuts in this window.
New Routes
Jeju Air: Busan (PUS) → Vientiane (VTE)
- Starts: December 30, 2026 (seasonal, scheduled through February 28, 2027)
- Frequency: 4 times weekly
- Aircraft: Boeing 737-800
Flight 7C2473 leaves Busan in the evening and lands in the Laotian capital just after midnight local time. The return, 7C2474, leaves Vientiane overnight and arrives in Busan the next morning. AeroRoutes lists this as a winter-only service.
Jeju Air: Seoul Incheon (ICN) → Sendai (SDJ)
- Starts: January 8, 2027
- Frequency: 3 times weekly
- Aircraft: Boeing 737-800
The schedule is built around a morning departure from Incheon (7C1631) and an early-afternoon return from Sendai (7C1632). This gives Jeju Air another secondary Japanese city from its Seoul hub.
Jin Air: Seoul Incheon (ICN) → Ho Chi Minh City (SGN)
- Starts: December 24, 2026
- Frequency: Daily (shown as “D” in the AeroRoutes schedule listing)
- Aircraft: Boeing 737-800

Air Busan: Busan (PUS) → Penang (PEN), limited-time charters
- Starts: November 12, 2026
- Frequency: Two round trips only, departing Busan on November 12 and November 15, 2026, with Penang departures the following day
- Aircraft: Airbus A321neo (232 seats)
AeroRoutes describes this as a “limited time service” and not a regular scheduled route. The flights are BX9641 and BX9642.
