October 29, 2026 — River line Crucemundo will make all of its European sailings all-inclusive from 2027, and is adding a renovated ship, CruceNova, on the Danube.
What changes in 2027
- All-inclusive: CEO Alexei Prokhorov said shore excursions and drinks packages will be included on every European river sailing.
- Drinks: Each departure includes coffee and a daily drinks package served from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Excursions: Offered in English and Spanish.
New ship: CruceNova
CruceNova is the former Thurgau Silence. It carries 194 passengers and has been renovated so the engine and propulsion are isolated from passenger areas, to cut noise and vibration. All staterooms face outside, with French balconies on the middle and upper decks.
2027 fleet and routes
| River | Ship(s) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Danube | CruceNova, Fidelio | — |
| Rhine | CruceRio | Hub moves from Cologne to Düsseldorf; 19 departures on three seven-night routes: “Holland & Belgium,” “Classical Rhine” and “Romantic Moselle” |
| Douro | Douro Cruiser | Season extends into winter, with Christmas and New Year’s sailings added after a December 2025 trial sold out |
In all, Crucemundo plans 115 departures in 2027. The line recently opened an office in Los Angeles and plans to expand its sales in North America and Australia in 2027.
What it means for airline travelers
- Rhine guests fly to a different city. With the Rhine hub moving from Cologne to Düsseldorf, check that your 2027 flights and hotel match the new embarkation city.
- Easier budgeting. With drinks and excursions included, more of your trip cost is paid up front, leaving fewer onboard extras to plan for.
- Winter on the Douro. New Christmas and New Year’s sailings fall in a busy holiday flying period, so allow an extra day if you are traveling standby.
- The story did not mention any travel-industry or interline rates.
