October 29, 2026 — TUI BLUE Curaçao is now welcoming guests. The 297-room all-inclusive on Curaçao’s western coast began a phased opening on October 20, with more of the resort set to open in December.
What is happening
TUI’s new all-inclusive sits at Groot Santa Martha, near Soto, on the site of the former Coral Cliff Hotel, which later operated as Sunset Waters Beach Resort. Caribbean Journal reported on October 28 that the resort has started receiving guests under a phased opening that began October 20. Opening-phase details run through February 1, 2027.
The opening came later than first planned. Curaçao Chronicle reported in August that TUI had pushed the debut back from September 1 to November 1 to finish the resort to its standards; the phased start on October 20 came ahead of that revised date.

Restaurants open now are IVO Beach Restaurant & Bar, Thea’s Reserve, a Snack Court and a Grab & Go. The resort also has a white-sand beach, the Oasis pool with a pool bar, a children’s playground, and in-room and beachfront massages.
Nearby sights include Cas Abao Beach (about 15 minutes by car), Christoffel National Park (about 20 minutes) and the Blue Room cave. The capital, Willemstad, is 40 to 45 minutes away.
What it means for airline travelers
- Getting there: Curaçao International Airport (CUR) is the island’s gateway. The resort is on the quieter west end, and Willemstad alone is a 40- to 45-minute drive, so arrange your transfer or rental car before you land.
- Expect a soft opening: Several facilities, including the spa, gym and a second pool, are not due until December. If those matter to you, book after they open.
- Age rules: Swim-up and partial ocean view swim-up rooms are for guests 13 and up, so families with younger children should book a family or ocean view room.
- Rates: The coverage did not mention a travel-industry or airline-employee rate. Ask TUI directly before you book.
