November 3, 2026 — Carnival Cruise Line is moving departure times 30 minutes earlier on 153 sailings from two Florida homeports: Carnival Elation in Jacksonville and Carnival Glory at Port Canaveral.
What changes
Affected sailings will now leave at 3:00 p.m. instead of 3:30 p.m. Carnival is notifying booked guests and did not give a reason. Itineraries and ports of call stay the same.
| Ship | Homeport | Sailings | Affected dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| Carnival Elation | Jacksonville | 77 (4- and 5-night Bahamas: Nassau, Celebration Key, RelaxAway/Half Moon Cay) | December 3, 2026 – November 22, 2027 |
| Carnival Glory | Port Canaveral | 76 (3- and 4-night Bahamas: Celebration Key, Nassau, RelaxAway/Half Moon Cay) | December 14–31, 2026; February 1 – April 26, May 15 – September 10, October 4–15 and November 8–26, 2027 |
Carnival reminds guests that they must be on board by the final boarding time printed on their boarding pass.
What it means for airline travelers
- Same-day flying gets even riskier. With a 3:00 p.m. sail-away, the final boarding time comes earlier too. Fly in the day before, especially if you are on standby.
- Jacksonville sailings: the closest airport is Jacksonville International (JAX).
- Port Canaveral sailings: most travelers fly into Orlando (MCO); Orlando Sanford (SFB) and Melbourne (MLB) are alternatives. Allow for the drive to the coast.
- Check your boarding pass for the new boarding cut-off and plan your hotel checkout and transfer around it.
- No travel-industry or interline rates were mentioned.
