November 5, 2026 — The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, described as the last Ritz-Carlton outside Marriott Bonvoy, will join the loyalty program on December 1, 2026.

What is happening

One Mile at a Time reported on November 4 that from December 1, 2026, Marriott Bonvoy members will be able to earn and redeem points and use their elite benefits at the 608-key Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore. Until now the hotel has stayed out of Marriott’s points program.

The hotel opened in 1996, before Ritz-Carlton had a points scheme. When Ritz-Carlton Rewards launched in 2010, individual hotels could opt out; Singapore and Osaka did, and Osaka later joined. After Bonvoy was formed, Singapore kept a legacy contract that let it stay outside the program. The article does not give an official reason for the change.

What it means for airline travelers

  • Airport: Singapore Changi (SIN) is the city’s airport and a major long-haul hub.
  • Points stays from December: Bonvoy members can plan award nights at this hotel for stays from December 1. Award prices were not published, so check marriott.com once the hotel appears for redemptions.
  • Limited elite perks: the article notes that Bonvoy elite benefits at Ritz-Carlton hotels are fairly limited and that breakfast is not an elite benefit at any tier, so budget for meals.
  • Existing bookings: the source does not say whether stays booked before December 1 will earn points; ask the hotel if that matters to you.
  • Industry rates: no travel-industry or airline-employee rate was mentioned in the source.
