November 4, 2026 — Costa Cruises has reorganized its commercial team, giving chief commercial officer Francesco Muglia charge of pricing, revenue management, itinerary planning and transportation.
What changed
Effective November 1, 2026, Muglia, senior vice president and chief commercial officer, adds those units to his existing responsibility for global marketing, direct sales and the commercial business units, Cruise Industry News reported. Daniel Caprile, vice president of pricing and revenue management, itinerary and transportation, also takes on onboard revenue and reports to Muglia. Muglia called it “an integrated approach to these key levers.”
| Person | Role after November 1, 2026 |
|---|---|
| Francesco Muglia | SVP and chief commercial officer: marketing, direct sales, commercial units, plus pricing, revenue management, itinerary planning and transportation |
| Daniel Caprile | VP pricing and revenue management, itinerary and transportation, adding onboard revenue; reports to Muglia |
No changes to ships, itineraries or prices were announced.
What it means for airline travelers
- No immediate change to any sailing. Because itinerary planning and transportation now sit with the same team as pricing, watch future Costa itinerary and fly-cruise announcements.
- No travel-industry or interline rates were mentioned.
