October 3, 2026 — Trafalgar is asking past guests to apply to be godmother of its new river ship, Trafalgar Dreamer, which starts sailing on the Seine in April 2027.
The tour operator, part of TTC Tour Brands, will pick the godmother from travel stories submitted by previous Trafalgar guests, Cruise Industry News reports. The winner christens the ship and sails on the first voyage. If the entry names a travel advisor, the advisor sails too. Entries close on October 29, 2026. Travel advisors cannot enter on a client’s behalf.
Trafalgar Dreamer will sail the “Best of the Seine with Paris & Normandy” itinerary. The exact date of the inaugural voyage is TBA. Deputy chief executive Melissa DaSilva said travel creates “memories that stay with us long after a trip.” Trafalgar chose godmothers the same way for its earlier river ships, Trafalgar Verity and Trafalgar Reverie.
What it means for airline travelers
- Only past Trafalgar guests can enter, and the deadline is October 29, 2026.
- Seine cruises start in Paris. Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly (ORY) both serve the city. Arrive a day early if you are flying standby across the Atlantic in spring.
- Interline and travel-industry rates: none were mentioned for the new ship.
