October 6, 2026 — Disney Cruise Line has laid the keel of Disney Believe at Meyer Werft in Germany and will reveal the ship’s homeport and itineraries in a livestream on Wednesday, October 7.
Disney Believe is the fourth ship in Disney’s Wish class, at about 144,000 gross tons, and is due to enter service in late 2027. A custom coin bearing Tinker Bell was placed under the keel at the Papenburg yard, and Tinker Bell will also be the character painted on the bow.
Key dates
| Milestone | Date |
|---|---|
| Keel laying at Meyer Werft, Papenburg | September 29, 2026, per Cruise Hive; Disney announced it October 5 without a date |
| Full reveal livestream from Disney Wish | October 7, 2026 (time TBA) |
| Entry into service | Late 2027 |
| Maiden voyage date and homeport | TBA |

The reveal is being staged at sea for the first time. Media aboard Disney Wish are working through a scavenger hunt that ends with the livestream from the ship’s Walt Disney Theatre. Clues released so far point to a bubble-topped cocktail, a new ice cream flavor and a venue called Fairytale Hall.
What it means for airline travelers
- Hold off on flights. Until Disney names the homeport and first sailing dates, there is nothing to book.
- Watch the October 7 reveal for the homeport, since that decides which airport you will need and how hard standby will be.
- A late-2027 debut may fall near the holidays, when standby seats are scarce. If you want an early sailing, plan to arrive at least a day ahead.
- Interline rates: nothing has been announced. Fares and booking dates are TBA.
