October 6, 2026 — Ruby Lilou opened in Marseille on October 5, 2026. The 237-room hotel is the first in France for Ruby Hotels, the design-led brand that is now part of IHG Hotels & Resorts.

The hotel sits between the Vieux Port and the La Joliette district, beside the old Le Panier quarter. The Ruby Group, led by founder and chief executive Michael Struck, operates it.

Ruby calls its approach “lean luxury”: compact rooms and few extras, in central locations. Rooms come in four sizes, named Nest, Cosy, Lovely and Wow. Each has an oversized bed, a walk-in rain shower, blackout curtains and a Marshall speaker.
