October 6, 2026 — Hilton’s new Hampton hotel in San Juan’s Convention Center District is now taking bookings for stays from November 1, 2026, Caribbean Journal reported on October 5.
In June, Caribbean Journal reported a September 2026 opening for the hotel, then listed as Hampton by Hilton San Juan City Center. The November 1 date is later than that target. Hilton has not explained the change in the reports we read.
The hotel is at 625 Avenida Manuel Fernández Juncos, between the Convention Center District and Miramar. It is close to Distrito T-Mobile and the Puerto Rico Convention Center, 2.4 miles from Old San Juan and about 11 minutes from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport. The room count has not been published.
What you get
- Free hot breakfast and Wi-Fi, as at other Hampton hotels.
- An outdoor pool, fitness center and business center.
- Pet-friendly rooms and some rooms with partial bay views.
- Shuttles to Escambrón Beach, Old San Juan and Distrito T-Mobile.
Watch the resort charge
The hotel adds a $45 daily resort charge. It covers the shuttle, beach chairs and towels, three-hour bike rentals, a casino match-bet coupon, fruit-infused water and premium lobby coffee. Caribbean Journal found a standard king room from $221 a night for November 1–2, including the charge and before taxes.

What it means for airline travelers
- A quick hop from SJU. At about 11 minutes from the airport, it works for a short San Juan trip or the night before a cruise.
- Add $45 a night to any rate you see. A resort charge is unusual for a Hampton. Compare the all-in price with other San Juan hotels.
- No beach on site. The hotel runs a shuttle to Escambrón Beach instead.
- No passport needed for U.S. citizens. Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory.
- Hilton Honors: Caribbean Journal’s June report says the hotel earns and redeems points.
- Industry rates: none were published.
