October 7, 2026 — Beach Palace in Cancún’s Hotel Zone is open again after a $60 million renovation that kept it closed for more than a year. The Cancun Sun reports the all-inclusive family resort held its grand opening on October 5, 2026.

The Palace Company closed the resort on August 15, 2025. At the time it said the work would take about six months and gave only “2026” for the reopening. The company has not published a new statement that we could find, so the October 5 date rests on The Cancun Sun’s report.

The resort now trades as Beach Palace Family Resort & Spa. It remains an all-inclusive Palace Resorts property.

  • Water park: a larger main waterslide and two new flumes.
  • Adults-only rooftop: the third-floor rooftop is now reserved for adults, with two pools, a snack bar and the new Madre Mía rooftop bar.
  • Dining: Távola (Italian), MOMO (Japanese teppanyaki), Carvao, a tacos venue, a sports bar and a lobby boulangerie.
  • Kids and teens: a supervised playroom and the Wired teen lounge with games.
  • Spa and fitness: an upgraded spa with hydrotherapy areas, a beauty salon and a new gym.
  • Other: a new theater, a redone lobby, and a bridge linking the event space to the mezzanine.

The Cancun Sun says a “Kids & Teens Stay Free” promotion is running. The room count has not been published in the sources we opened.

What it means for airline travelers

  • Cancún (CUN) is the airport. The resort is in the Hotel Zone, so there is no long highway transfer as there is for Riviera Maya properties.
  • Confirm with the resort before you travel. The reopening ran well past the original six-month estimate. Call or check the Palace Resorts site to confirm your dates and which venues are open.
  • Adults get their own space. The rooftop pools and bar are adults-only, which helps couples and crew traveling without children at a family resort.
  • Ask about the kids-free offer. Families should check the terms and dates directly. We could not verify them.
  • Industry rates: no airline-employee or travel-industry rate was published in the sources we opened. Ask Palace Resorts or your interline agency.
