October 9, 2026 — Club Med has started building its second Canadian ski resort. The company held the official groundbreaking for Club Med Tremblant on October 7 and plans to open it in December 2028.
The resort will sit on Versant Soleil, at the base of Mount Timber, in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec. It will be ski-in/ski-out and open all four seasons. It follows Club Med Québec Charlevoix, which opened in 2021.
Club Med’s announcement gives no room count. Real-estate site Connect CRE reports 300 rooms and a $250 million budget. It also reports that French real-estate fund Comète SCPI, managed by Alderan, is funding the project and that Club Med will run the resort under a long-term lease.

What is planned
- All-inclusive skiing: lift tickets and group ski lessons are part of the package.
- Families: kids clubs, a spa and a restaurant built around Quebec flavours.
- Exclusive Collection space: a premium area with private lounges and upgraded amenities.
- Summer: outdoor and wellness programming outside ski season.
- More terrain: Station Mont-Tremblant is spending $42.5 million on Timber Summit, with 62 acres of new terrain, eight trails and a high-speed quad chairlift. Club Med’s release dates it to winter 2027–28.
Club Med’s North America chief, Carolyne Doyon, also told Travel Market Report the company is looking at the Rockies for a future ski resort.
What it means for airline travelers
- Montréal (YUL) is the main gateway. Tremblant’s own travel page puts the airport 90 minutes away by road, with direct shuttles and private transfers.
- Mont-Tremblant (YTM) is closer. Tremblant says Porter flies there direct from Toronto’s Billy Bishop airport, with a shuttle to the resort of about 38 minutes. The page gives no season dates, so check the schedule before you plan around it.
- Nothing to book yet. Club Med has not opened reservations or published rates. Opening is more than two years away, and construction dates can slip.
