October 15, 2026 — Hyatt’s JdV by Hyatt brand has a new hotel right at Portland International Airport. The Mindaro, a 90-room boutique hotel about 3 miles from PDX with a free airport shuttle, is listed by Hyatt as opening in October 2026.

What is happening

Hyatt named The Mindaro on October 14, 2026 as one of four JdV by Hyatt hotels opening in the last quarter of the year, with an October 2026 opening. The hotel’s page on hyatt.com is already taking reservations. Hyatt did not give an exact first-guest date or name the owner.

The Mindaro sits on NE Airport Way. Hyatt’s page also points guests who need a kitchen to its companion property, Hyatt House Portland Airport.

What it means for airline travelers

  • A true airport hotel: Hyatt lists a complimentary shuttle to and from PDX, about 3 miles away. Ask the hotel for shuttle hours before counting on it for a very early departure.
  • Handy for overnights and misconnects: A free shuttle and a restaurant open until 11 p.m. make it a practical option for an unplanned night in Portland.
  • Brand-new hotel: Expect some early kinks in the first weeks of operation.
  • World of Hyatt: Hyatt says member rates are available when booking on hyatt.com.
  • Industry and airline-employee rates: None were mentioned in the sources.
