October 22, 2026 — Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines says the launch of its 2028 program produced its strongest trading day ever, the British line’s second sales record this year.

The 2028 program

  • 39 new cruises departing January to July 2028.
  • Regional UK departures from Liverpool, Newcastle, Rosyth and Portsmouth, plus fly-cruises on the line’s smaller ships.
  • Itineraries include the Norwegian fjords, British Isles, Northern Lights, the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Islands.
  • Bookings opened October 7. The Scenic Highlights of Canada cruise, released early, sold out in under two weeks.
  • Popular picks: a 13-night northern Europe voyage to nine countries, an 18-night Italian Riviera and Amalfi Coast cruise, and a 37-night trip to Bermuda, the Bahamas and Puerto Rico.

Freedom Fare Price Promise

Guests who book by November 4, 2026 are covered: if the price of an equivalent cabin on the same sailing drops within four weeks of booking, they get a cabin upgrade or onboard spending money. Solo travelers can choose cabins with no single supplement. Head of sales Geoff Ridgeon said demand was “exceeding our expectations.”

What it means for airline travelers

  • Popular 2028 sailings are selling quickly; if you want one, the November 4 price promise is a reason to book early.
  • UK departures from Liverpool, Newcastle, Rosyth (near Edinburgh) and Portsmouth mean you can choose the port closest to the airport you can fly into most easily.
  • No travel-industry or interline rates were mentioned.
