October 23, 2026 — Transcend Cruises, a charter-only European river cruise company, has appointed veteran cruise executive Edie Rodriguez as CEO.
What happened
Rodriguez succeeds Gregg Marston, who stays on the board as a director. The rest of the executive team is unchanged. She will lead strategy, brand development and growth. Her start date is TBA.
Rodriguez was most recently chair of Ponant’s Americas brand. She was previously president and CEO of Crystal Cruises, and held senior roles at Azamara, Cunard and Seabourn. Chairman Shawn Horwitz called her a “proven leader with a remarkable understanding of the luxury travel landscape.” Transcend focuses on whole-ship charters and meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) groups, and recently held inaugural celebrations for its river ship Transcend Connect.
What it means for airline travelers
- Transcend sells only full-ship charters, so individual travelers usually sail with it through a group, company or club charter.
- If your group is planning a charter, check flights to the embarkation city before you fix dates.
- The report does not mention any travel-industry or interline rates.
