October 25, 2026 — Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) says all three of its brands, Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, are growing in the Brazilian market. That is according to Estela Farina, the company’s managing director for Brazil.

Key points

  • Norwegian Cruise Line carries the most Brazilian passengers and gets the most marketing attention. Farina said Norwegian “naturally receives a stronger focus.”
  • Norwegian’s ship-within-a-ship, The Haven, helps travel advisors move clients up to higher-end products.
  • Norwegian gives one free berth for every six cabins sold to groups.
  • Oceania Cruises’ move to adults-only cruising has made its guest profile clearer for advisors, and repeat rates in Brazil are very high.
  • Norwegian returns to South America in the 2027-28 season with 16-night itineraries that combine Patagonia and Antarctica (dates TBA).
  • More capacity or homeporting in Brazil depends on local operating costs and infrastructure. Farina said Brazil has to become more competitive.
  • The Caribbean and the Mediterranean are the top-selling regions for Brazilian cruisers.

What it means for airline travelers

  • Norwegian’s Patagonia–Antarctica voyages in 2027-28 will mean long-haul flights to South America. Once dates and embarkation ports are published, expect to arrive at least a day early. Seats to South America during the austral summer peak can be scarce.
  • Oceania is now adults-only. Families who fly together to a cruise should keep that in mind when choosing among NCLH brands.
  • The group-berth offer is aimed at the travel trade in Brazil. The report doesn’t mention any change to travel-industry or interline rates elsewhere.
