What it means for airline travelers
- Most of these voyages start in Kiel or Hamburg. Hamburg Airport (HAM) is the gateway for both, and Kiel is about an hour or more from it by road or rail. Fly in the day before.
- Summer flights to northern Germany get busy. Check flight loads early and have a backup routing through other German or Scandinavian hubs.
- No travel-industry or interline rate was mentioned.
