The homeward leg runs via Mauritius, La Réunion, South Africa (Gqeberha, Cape Town), Walvis Bay and Cape Verde. The opening date for bookings was not stated (TBA). What it means for airline travelers
- Warnemünde is the port for Rostock. Hamburg (HAM) and Berlin (BER) are the main gateways, connected to the port by rail. Rostock-Laage has only limited service.
- The cruise ends in Hamburg, so you can fly home from HAM.
- A 142-day voyage leaves no room for a missed departure. Fly in at least a day before November 3, 2028, and have a backup routing via another German hub, because early-November weather in northern Europe can disrupt flights.
- No travel-industry or interline rate was mentioned.
