What it means for airline travelers
- A long way off: This is a signing, not an opening. Nothing can be booked yet, and plans for a 2029 resort can change.
- Getting there: Roatán is served by its own airport (RTB). Meliá lists the project at Coxen Hole but did not give a transfer time. Check current schedules to RTB closer to the opening.
- Meal plan unknown: Meliá has not said whether the resort will be all-inclusive.
- Rates: No travel-industry or airline-employee rate was mentioned.
